Gabriel Fried

Gabriel Fried grew up in New York’s Hudson Valley, and has lived in Missouri for four years. He is Poetry Editor at Persea Books and the author of Making the New Lamb Take (Sarabande Books), which won the Kathryn A. Morton Prize and was named one of the ten best poetry books of 2007 by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Foreword magazine. 


He lives in Columbia, where he teaches in the creative writing program at Mizzou, and has two sons, who have more or less learned not to throw books.
