Why I Read
Statewide Poetry Contest

The Missouri Center for the Book is pleased to announce that the poem “Books” by Paul Gianoli of Columbia has been selected as the winning entry in the “Why I Read” statewide poetry contest. Mr. Gianoli will attend the National Book Festival, October 12, 2002, in Washington, DC, and meet with book festival attendees at Missouri’s exhibit in the Pavilion of the States.

Judges for the poetry contest chose a number of excellent entries to be included in a chapbook published for distribution at the book festival. To read these poems, click here.
